takin' a poll...or is it pole?

Just kidding...taking a poll to all you out there who mop...what "mopping utensil" do you use and which is your favorite?
Here's why I ask this: I get down on my hands and knees and mop our kitchen and bathrooms...I hate it but its the Best way I've found to clean the floors...anyway...give me a shout out and let me know which "thing" you use!!

Hands and knees occur about four times a year...otherwise...we use the Clorox Ready Mop more frequently. Hands and Knees are a but...so the floors only get that kind of a scrub down each quarter (not like I really mark it out on my planner, though...perhaps I should start that).

Hands and knees are the best but I don't do it. I have been using my mom's Hoover Wet Jet and it works great but thought I'd give the ole mop a chance this weekend. I hated it. Partly because I put too much Mr. Clean down on the floor and once I started mopping it looked like the Brady house when Jan put too much soap in the washer.

OK...a few things....

#1. Am I the only person on here who has never cleaned the floor on her hands and knees or even considered it? I thought that was only in the movies. Movies about people with evil stepmothers.

#2. Am I the only person on here who does not work in education?

#3. Am I the only person on here who didn't go to the zoo today?

#4. Am I the only person on here without a cool blog layout?

I am feeling like a big ol' loser...Tomorrow I'll go scrub the floors at the zoo while teaching those around me about floor washing while streaming video of it to my newly-designed blog layout. That might make me feel better.

For the very best mopping, I use Becky. Let me know if you want her number. She is dependable, honest and reasonable.

Oh, and Jenny, you do not have to get a new blog layout to keep your readers coming back for more, you have Naked Aunt Nancy...

Jenny...some things:
1. I'm super anal. It's okay if you don't hands-and-knee it. http://sarahupchurch.blogspot.com/2008/04/my-little-secrets.html

2. Jeremy, Janet, and Chris do not work in education (Janet's new).

3. Yes.

4. No cool new blog layout on mine.

Have fun at the zoo tomorrow.

Jenny...YOU my friend, are the smart one who doesn't work in education...you actually found something that makes you money! Also, I have 2 kids that make huge messes, just put new tile in my kitchen myself so I feel like I want it extra clean, hence the on the hands and knees cleaning...plus, I'm anal too.
Also, Sarah's right, your blog is appealing enough without you having to entice us with "flashy" designs...take the day off next Monday and come to the zoo with us...we will even promise you iced cookies afterwards!

I use a good old fashioned mop! Drenched in our favorite cancer causing agent.....Clorox. I know it is crazy, but that is the only cleaner that really makes everything totally disinfected:)
Ang- I hope we get to go to Grae's party, but that is the day we get back from Jamaica. We will do our best:)

In all seriousness, I had a mop and didn't love it. I went out and got a "Mr. Clean" mop and it is fine--but not fab. Sorry girl, I don't have any words of wisdom. If I did, I'd have my own infomercial and would be making the big bucks...

Ha! I'm a little slow, so I just realized how clever your title is..."pole" as in the pole on a mop? Right??? Points to you!

yeah, that or "dancer" pole:)

Just like anything else, frequency of any method of cleaning is the best way to keep the floor clean. My floors are clean only if I am moppping, wiping, or sweeping. Most of the time I use a damp sponge mop.
Wyatt is the only dog I know who does not eat his food outside of his bowl. Thus he is worthless at any clean up. He does his best to keep something besides shine on the floor. Vicki - Seth's mom
